When Max left Lucky Dog today, we weren't quite sure what he'd think about life outside the shelter.
According to Lori...
He's doing amazing.
He's settled in beautifully, is enjoying the patio life, and seems perfectly content just hanging out with his people.
Not bad for a 5-month-old puppy who is still learning how the world works.
One of the things we love most about our 3 Days Away program is that it gives dogs a chance to show us who they really are outside the shelter.
Sometimes the biggest surprise isn't what they do...
It's how quickly they relax and make themselves at home.
We'll have more updates from Max's adventure soon, but Day 1 gets two paws up.
