Meet Ranger

Sometime last night, this handsome young dog appeared on the Lucky Dog side of our gate.

We've named him Ranger.

He's approximately 1 year old, weighs 14 kilos, appears very healthy, is surprisingly clean, and was wearing a collar, though unfortunately there were no tags attached.

Ranger spent much of today trying to figure out where he was and why he was here.

Thankfully, our volunteers made sure he received plenty of attention, treats, and reassurance while he settled in.

After last week's experience with Chip/Luca, a dog who was mistakenly believed to have been abandoned but was actually deeply loved and missed by his family, we're approaching Ranger's situation carefully. At this point, we simply don't know his story.

For the next week, Ranger will remain in isolation while we complete his health evaluation and actively look for any family that may be searching for him.
